Active September
in Mariánské Lázně
After the main season the town takes a breath, the forests smell of autumn and the temperatures are made for movement. Running, golf, tennis, disc golf, scooters, swimming — and exercises with our physiotherapist Eliška.
Why September is the best month for movement
Mariánské Lázně has been a climatic spa since 2023 — the local air is an officially recognised healing resource. At around 600 metres above sea level September never scorches: days are pleasantly warm, mornings fresh, and the Slavkov Forest is just starting to turn.
The main summer wave of guests has left, so courts, courses and trails are freer and calmer. And because movement is part of the cure here, everything is within walking distance — from the pool to the disc golf course.
More on why breathing comes so easily here on the climate therapy page.

Everything September has in store
Eight ways to keep moving — all a few minutes from the colonnade. The in-depth guide is in the article Sporting Marienbad.
Running
Over 70 km of marked trails begin just past the last houses. Flat park loops and forest trails with views.
Walking and nordic walking
The most quintessentially Marienbad sport: the terrain cure has been prescribed here for over 200 years. Marked routes from green to red.
Scooters and bikes
Off-road scooters into the Slavkov Forest; the Krakonoš cable car carries bikes in summer. Ask at hotel receptions.
Tennis
The TCF Schicht clay courts on Anglická street — hosts of the junior Billie Jean King Cup in August 2026.
Golf and Chip&Putt
The Royal Golf Club (1905) is the oldest course in the country. For beginners, a public 9-hole course and Chip&Putt with no green card.
Disc golf
18 holes and 1,862 metres at Na Voře. Rent discs at the receptions — a family round takes a pleasant hour and a half.
Swimming
Ensana hotel guests have the pool under their own roof — from the Butterfly with its whirlpool to the Roman Baths of 1896.
Physio-led fitness
Gyms right in the hotels — and exercises led by physiotherapist Eliška. Find the video series below.

Exercises with Eliška
Our physiotherapist Eliška has recorded a series of short videos to stretch your neck and thoracic spine anywhere — in your hotel room, in the park, at home. No equipment, no gym, just a few minutes a day.
The videos are in Czech — but every exercise is demonstrated on screen and easy to follow without sound.
