Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad) ranks among Europe's most distinguished spa destinations and has held UNESCO World Heritage status since 2021. In the heart of this town, with over a hundred mineral springs and more than two centuries of spa history, Ensana operates seven properties — from an exclusive five-star flagship to welcoming three-star hotels with their own treatment centres.
Every Ensana hotel in Marienbad offers comprehensive spa programmes under qualified medical supervision. Guests have access to a wide range of balneology treatments — from traditional mineral baths and CO₂ therapy to peat wraps and modern physiotherapy. Each hotel has its own character, but all share the same foundation: time-honoured spa tradition combined with modern medical standards.
The historic houses at the heart of the spa quarter — Nové Lázně, Centrální Lázně with Maria Spa, and the Hvězda resort with its Imperial and Neapol buildings — are linked, together with the Casino, by covered corridors and the Via Imperialis. Guests walk from their room to a treatment, the pool or a concert without stepping outside, even in winter.

Each of the seven Ensana hotels in Marienbad has its own distinct character. This guide will help you find the right fit:

Arriving by car? Most Ensana hotels offer their own parking — from free unguarded spaces and guarded car parks to underground garages. At the Pacifik, the spaces right by the hotel are for check-in and check-out, with a nearby parking house for the length of your stay. For hotel car parks and garages, advance reservation is required, ideally when you book your stay. For the full overview of options, prices and capacity at each hotel — plus information on parking around town — see the Parking at the Ensana Hotels page.
Do you return to Mariánské Lázně? The Ensana Life loyalty programme is free, never expires, and the discount grows with the nights you stay — up to 20%, and not just on accommodation but on the spa, wellness and dining too. A classic cure lasts two to three weeks, so a single stay is often enough for the Silver tier. Details, tiers and conditions are on the Ensana Life page.

The Ensana hotels in Marienbad offer treatments drawn from the town's natural healing resources — carbonated baths and dry gas baths, peat wraps and baths, the drinking cure and mineral baths — together with inhalations, underwater massage, physiotherapy and other procedures. Which of them go into your plan is decided by the spa physician after the initial examination.
Ensana Butterfly and Ensana Hvězda are the best choices for families — both offer a dedicated children's play corner. Ensana Butterfly appeals with its daylit pool and its location by the spa park, Ensana Hvězda with the largest hotel pool in town.
It depends on the type of stay: for a stay covered by health insurance in the Czech Republic the length is set by the Czech indication list according to your diagnosis, for a self-paid treatment stay the spa physician recommends it, and a wellness stay can be booked for just a few nights. Longer stays tend to have a better rate per night; for when to come, see the best time to visit page.
Yes, most Ensana hotels have accessible rooms and adapted facilities. The number of accessible rooms in each hotel is limited. Please inform the hotel of your needs when booking so that your room and treatments can be prepared in advance.
Mariánské Lázně is easily reached by car, train or bus. The town lies approximately 160 km west of Prague and 60 km south of Karlovy Vary. The nearest international airports are in Prague and Munich. For a detailed transport guide, visit the Getting There page.
