Boheminium Miniature Park

The Czech Republic's landmarks at 1:25 scale — dozens of lovingly detailed models of castles and monuments in a park above the town. Reachable on foot through the forest, by the regular city bus that serves the park — or by the cabin cable car up to Krakonoš.

About the place

The Boheminium miniature park opened in 1999 and has since grown to more than seventy models of Czech landmarks at 1:25 scale — from Karlštejn via Ještěd to the Pravčická Arch. Each model takes hundreds of hours of handwork and is faithful to the last detail: shutters, roof tiles, even the miniature greenery.

The park lies in the woods above the town by the Krakonoš hotel; you reach it on a pleasant walk through the spa forests, by the regular city bus that serves the park — or by the historic cabin cable car from the Koliba bottom station (April–October). The grounds are open year-round, with a bistro and children's stops — and thanks to the paved paths, it is easily managed with a stroller.
